An Educational Retreat That Left a Permanent Gift

Ocean City Recreation and Parks
What began as an educational retreat became a permanent public-art contribution to Ocean City.
We Are Limitless Studios worked with Ocean City Recreation and Parks and coordinated the necessary municipal approval to bring the project into a public space. Retreat participants were given the opportunity to learn about mural creation, work alongside professional artists and take part in producing something the entire community could continue enjoying long after the retreat ended.
The mural was completed at no expense to the Town of Ocean City. Project funding came entirely through the educational retreat, creating a unique partnership that combined hands-on learning, public art and a lasting gift to the community.

Salisbury University + The City of Salisbury
Located directly outside a community center and across from a neighborhood playground, this street had a documented history of drivers traveling above the speed limit.
Working in partnership with Salisbury University, WALS created a large asphalt mural that introduced a bold visual change directly into the roadway. The artwork helped signal to drivers that they were entering an active, people-centered space, encouraging slower and more attentive movement through the area.
The project brought public art into the heart of the neighborhood while using creativity to support traffic calming and create a safer connection between two important community spaces.partnership that combined hands-on learning, public art and a lasting gift to the community.
