HOW WALS CAN SUPPORT YOUR PROJECT
WALS can lead a public-art project from its earliest idea through final installation, or join an existing initiative where additional creative, technical or administrative support is needed.
PROJECT PLANNING
Clarifying goals, audiences, locations, budgets, timelines, feasibility and overall project direction.
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
Developing original artwork, reviewing existing concepts and helping shape an artistic approach that reflects the people,
purpose and character of the space.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Gathering input and creating structured opportunities for residents, students, employees or event participants to contribute to the project.
APPROVALS AND PUBLIC COORDINATION
Supporting presentations, property-owner approvals, permitting and coordination with municipalities, city councils,
public-art committees and other decision-makers.
ARTIST COORDINATION
Identifying, organizing and supporting the artists, assistants and creative teams needed for the project.
PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION SUPPORT
Coordinating wall preparation, materials, equipment, scheduling, site access, lift planning, installation and on-site troubleshooting.
PROGRAMMING
Connecting public art with community paint days, collaborative art panels, educational experiences,
public events and broader placemaking initiatives.

The Town of Colmar Manor
We helped transform a historically significant location associated with conflict into a community-created symbol of peace, unity and resilience. The larger project combined public art, resident participation, emerging-artist development and a broader community-awareness campaign.
Educational Programming and Municipal Partnerships

Ocean City Recreation and Parks
WALS transformed an educational retreat into a hands-on public-art experience. We coordinated with Ocean City Recreation and Parks, navigated municipal approval, taught retreat participants and created a permanent mural for the town at no expense to the municipality.
Newton Community Asphalt Mural
Salisbury University + The City of Salisbury
Working in partnership with Salisbury University, WALS created a large asphalt mural that introduced a bold visual change directly into the roadway. The artwork helped signal to drivers that they were entering an active, people-centered space, encouraging slower and more attentive movement through the area.

We Are Limitless Studios + The City of Salisbury
WALS created and produced the Eastern Shore’s first mural festival, bringing artists, residents, businesses, students and visitors together across Downtown Salisbury.

Community Participation and Permanent Artwork
Community-Painted Art Panels
WALS creates large-scale collaborative artwork on wood or durable panels, allowing residents, students, employees, volunteers and event participants to contribute to a permanent piece of art together.
Because the artwork is created on movable panels rather than directly on a wall, the finished piece can be installed inside a school, municipal building, community center, workplace or other shared space. Projects may consist of a single 4-by-8-foot panel or multiple panels combined into a larger installation.
WALS can coordinate the creative direction, artwork preparation, materials, participant painting experience, professional finishing and installation.
